I can wholeheartedly recommend Maxalife Omega 3 for ADHD. My son was diagnosed with ADHD, I did not want to medicate him and having done some reading and seen your website, I thought I would give Maxalife Omega 3 a go, if it did not work I would then go on to the drugs for him. The change in my son is remarkable, He is now a normal happy boy. Due to the results we have seen, the whole family is now eating fish regularly too, our diet was obviously sadly lacking.

We know the incredible potential this omega 3 fatty acid has, especially when it comes to the role that EPA may play in preventing or at least delaying the onset of muscle wasting .
With aging, muscle deterioration is a chronic condition which can be complicated further by various factors...ultimately leading to muscle atrophy . This is associated various disease states such as cancer, heart failure, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, HIV/AIDS and other related muscle wasting conditions.
A recent study published in 2008 highlights the significant effects of EPA from fish oil on the reduction of various factors contributing to muscle wasting.

Well, it’s a fantastic piece of organic machinery that pumps life-giving blood throughout your body every second of every day for as long as you’re alive ...impressive isn’t it?! Now, why not ensure that it’s getting the best maintenance possible...
Omega 3 fatty acids like EPA and DHA from fish oil are often being associated with good cardiovascular health:
EPA is believed to be highly effective in lowering high blood pressure as it helps ‘unstick’ platelets which ensures that they don’t clump together in the arteries to form blockages which could raise blood pressure and prevent oxygen-rich blood from reaching the tissues and organs that need it.
DHA is also a key component of the cardiovascular system...controlling blood lipids (total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein (LDL or "bad” cholesterol), high density lipoprotein (HDL or "good” cholesterol) and triglycerides.
Better Circulation Could Also Mean Better Results Below the Belt... Well it’s true! Those little blue pills everyone talks about, as well as all the other medicines available, really only work by acting on the cardiovascular system. If you could get blood flowing down to where you want it without the risks of taking a drug, why not give it a go?

The Omega-3 Good Fats It is a common thought worldwide that fat is not good for the health. However, this is not completely true. In fact, Omega 3 fatty acid is an essential fat needed by the body. Since, it is not naturally produced in the body; food rich in them should be included for a balanced and healthy diet. They have very good effects on a person’s health and protect the body from diseases like cancer and arthritis. Apart from this, they help in the proper development of the brain. Omega 3 can be found in leafy vegetables, whole grains and nuts. However, fish is the main source for Omega 3.
The Omega-3 Alphabet DHA and EPA, present in Omega-3 fatty acid is found mostly in fish. These two substances are responsible for most health benefits of Omega 3. ALA, also found n Omega 3 fatty acids do have some benefits of its own. However, it is mostly converted into DHA and EPA. ALA is found in vegetable oils, flaxseed, walnuts, and dark leafy vegetables such as spinach.
How Omega-3 Fights Disease Omega-3 fatty acids act as an anti-inflammatory agent and reducing inflammation in the blood vessels, joints, and elsewhere in the body. They also keep a check on the risk for an abnormal heart rhythm, reducing levels of unhealthy fats in the bloodstream. They also help in the better development of the brain. Omega 3 is also said to be a good treatment for depression.
Omega-3 and Heart Deaths Omega 3 fatty acids can be taken as a precautionary measure for people who already have heart problems or may have suffered a heart attack previously. Recent research has shown that these fatty acids have helped in lowering the count of heart deaths. People who have a regular intake of food rich in Omega 3 fatty acids are less prone to heart diseases.
Omega-3 and Arrhythmias Omega-3s is said to lower heart rates, reducing the risk of arrhythmias or abnormal heart rhythms. These omega-3 fatty acids can be got with the consumption of food like fish, nuts, leafy vegetables, whole grains, etc.
Omega-3 and Triglycerides Omega-3s can lower your level of triglycerides, a type of blood fat that’s linked to heart disease. Triglycerides collect in the bloodstream and in the body’s fat cells (seen here). Unfortunately, omega-3s increase cholesterol – both the “good” (HDL) and “bad” (LDL) kind. People with high triglycerides should consult with their doctors before taking omega-3. Eating more omega-3-rich fish is generally safe.
Omega-3 and High Blood Pressure Strong evidence has been found that omega-3s lower blood pressure. The effect is small, though. If you have high blood pressure, eating fish could be helpful along with other nutritional changes and medications, as recommended by your doctor. Red meat should be avoided and could be replaced by fish. Salty fish, however, should be avoided.
Omega-3 and Stroke Omega 3 fatty acids are believed to prevent strokes. However, the evidence from researches done on this matter is not yet a hundred percent sure. As it prevents blot clotting, which is the main cause for strokes, many experts believe that they prevent strokes. However, at very high doses, omega-3 supplements might increase the risk of hemorrhagic strokes, the less common type that involves bleeding in the brain.
Omega-3 and Rheumatoid Arthritis Omega 3 fatty acids are effective in preventing joint pain and stiffness in people with rheumatoid arthritis. A diet high in omega-3s may also increase the effectiveness of anti-inflammatory drugs.
Omega-3 and Depression Recent studies have proven that these fatty acids are a good medication for depression. They are also effective in stabilizing the walls of the cells of the nervous system. Recent studies show that these two types of omega 3 essential fatty acids were also found effective in increasing serotonin, a neurotransmitter affected in depressed patients. Researchers are still trying to find out more about Omega 3 fatty acids and what makes it so effective on depression. Therefore it is not advised to take Omega 3 as a medication for depression without consulting a doctor first.
Omega-3 and ADHD Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common disorder, especially among young children. Some studies suggest that Omega 3 fatty acids help in prevention this to a certain extent. We know omega-3 fatty acids are important in brain development and function. Although the evidence isn’t conclusive, omega-3s may provide some added benefits to traditional treatment.
Omega-3 and Dementia While research is still going on, there has been some evidence that omega-3s may protect against dementia and improve mental function. In a study, older people with a diet high in omega-3 fatty acids had a lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. More research is necessary to confirm the same.
Omega-3 and Cancer Omega-3s helps reduce the risk of colon cancer, breast cancer, and advanced prostate cancer, but more research is needed. The American Cancer Society recommends a diet that includes fish, but the organization stops short of endorsing omega-3 supplements for cancer prevention.
Omega-3 and Children Pediatricians recommend that Omega 3 fatty acids should be included in a child’s diet from a very young age. It is believed that in the initial years of a child, he or she is in phases of constant growth. These fatty acids help in the proper development of a child and eliminated problems like retardation and short attention time span. The American Academy of Pediatrics does recommend that kids eat more fish, as long as it’s not breaded and fried. However, fish that are high in mercury, such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish should be avoided.
Omega-3: Catch of the Day Fish is the best source of Omega 3 fatty acids. However, this entirely depends on the type of fish in question. Tuna, Hoki and salmon are the top three fish types that are the healthiest as they contain good amounts of Omega 3. The American Heart Association recommends at least two servings a week of fish, which is 3.5 ounces of a cooked fish or ¾ cup of flaked fish.
Omega-3 and Tuna Everyone knows how the tuna omega 3 connection works so well for the good health of a human body. Tuna fish are of various types like albacore tuna, bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna and many other types. However, they all do not produce the same amount of Omega 3 fatty acid value. Hence, though we can safely say that tuna is one of the fish that contains the most quantity of Omega 3; it largely depends on the type of tuna you are talking about. Tuna is known as an oily fish as well. They are also rich in Vitamin D and other types of proteins.
Dangers of Contaminated Fish Mercury can cause serious health damages, especially for pregnant women, nursing mothers, and young children. Contaminated fish should be avoided. This can be done by the following ways:
Limit albacore tuna to 6 ounces/week. Limit fish lower in mercury to 12 ounces/week. Avoid shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish. Remove skin and fat before cooking fish Omega-3 Supplements Fish-oil supplements are available in the market and are a good alternative for people who do not like eating fish. Experts recommend one gram per day for people suffering from cardiovascular disease. At high levels, omega-3 can increase the risk of bleeding and may interfere with some medications so if you take medications ask your doctor if you can take Omega 3 supplements.
Omega-3 for Vegetarians For people who are vegetarians and do not eat fish or fish oil, they can get their Omega 3 fatty acids through the consumption of algae. However, it is essential that they get it from a reliable place as algae from the wild may contain a toxin. Vegetarians can also get the ALA version of omega-3 from foods such as canola oil, flaxseed, walnuts, broccoli, and spinach – or products fortified with omega-3s.
Avoiding the Omega-3 Hype Owing to the benefits Omega 3 has on the body, many food products state that they have added omega 3 to provide a healthier food. While this may not be false, the product may contain just the ALA substance found in Omega 3. This ALA doesn’t contain many health benefits as compared to EPA and DHA. Fish-oil supplements would be the best option in this matter.
Omega 6: The Other Healthy Fat Omega 6 is another fatty acid that has a healthy effect on the human body. Experts have said that this fatty acid too helps in keeping away heart diseases, if taken in proper proportions. The AHA recommends getting up to 10% of your total daily calories from omega-6 fats, which are found in vegetable oils and nuts. Most Americans have more of Omega 6 than Omega 3 in their normal diet. A balance between the two is very essential to stay healthy as Omega 6 promotes inflammation.
