"secure."

Phishing Scams & Fraudulent Gift Card Offers
What Is "Phishing"?
Phishing is how criminals trick and manipulate people into revealing their personal and/or financial
information. Be careful of scammers who use these methods to trick victims, including legitimatelooking
emails which seem to come from a trusted company or bank or other trustworthy
organization. (Even schools!) Criminals often copy company logos and Web site design in order to
make these emails appear genuine.
Fraudulent Gift Card Offers
There have been many examples of Scam/fraudulent Web sites which offer free gift cards or other
rewards for doing a survey. The survey may ask for credit card and/or personal information, or require
purchases of services or products to qualify for the "free gift." Be very careful of these sort of surveys
because they may even sell this information to even more fraudulent sites. Many times these websites
show up in Googleâ„¢ search results making them look even more legitimate.
What Can You Do to Avoid These Scams
- Think and Be Smart.
If an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.
- Be careful when clicking links from search engines or email.
If you are unsure about the validity of a link to Maxalife, do not click it. Instead, enter
www.maxalife.com directly into your browser's address bar to visit us directly.
- If you receive a fraudulent email and have not opened it, delete it immediately.
If you're uncertain of the legitimacy of an email, Web site or promotional offer that appears to
be from maxalife, then please contact customer us at info@maxalife.com
- Don't send personal information via email.
Email is an insecure method of communication. NEVER include your social security number,
credit card number, PIN or account password in an email.
Please note that the only time Maxalife will ask for credit card or other account information online is
during secure transactions at Maxalife.com. We will never request this type of information at another
site or via email.
